Ideas are what matter most. Everything we have and do first began as an idea. But sometimes when working on a problem in a meeting ideas, or the source of ideas, runs dry or loses freshness and the same ideas keep reoccurring. Both the process and the meeting become stale. We can just find it hard to come up with new things to say and ideas to put forward. Or, what we do come up with seems like more of the same, the ideas begin to lack novelty and even value. The process, the meeting and we ourselves are fast running out of steam. If the meeting is a marathon, then we have ‘hit the wall! But there is a way over this wall. To deal with this blockage in creativity, we need to find a way to look at the problem or issue in a different way, with new eyes or perspectives.
